Job Title: Full-Time Virtual Special Education Teacher for Next School Year.
As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers to deliver tailored support and specialized instruction within and outside the virtual classroom. Your expertise will be crucial in helping students with moderate disabilities succeed academically, socially, and… emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-Teaching Excellence: Partner with general education teachers to co-teach 5th-grade students, seamlessly integrating special education strategies and supports into virtual lessons.
• Individualized Support: Provide targeted instruction and small group support to students with moderate disabilities in a virtual setting.
• Innovative Lesson Planning: Engage in lesson planning and curriculum development to meet diverse student needs.
• Ongoing Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and adjust instruction based on student progress and needs.
• IEP Mastery: Implement and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while collaborating with the special education team for student success.
What We’re Looking For:
• Valid MA DESE license in Special Education/Moderate Disabilities.
• Special Education Licenses in Massachusetts.
• Prior experience working with 5th-grade students is a plus.
• Strong understanding of co-teaching models, inclusive education practices, and proficiency with virtual teaching tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills suited for a virtual environment.
