Course / Program Description

Our Visual Arts courses cover various disciplines such as Design Communication Arts, User Experience, Photography, Studio Arts, and Art History. We are dedicated to providing high-quality education through passionate and experienced instructors.

Job Summary

We are seeking qualified Visual Arts Instructors to join our team. Applications are accepted year-round to address immediate program needs and expand our pool of instructors. Interviews will be scheduled with applicants who meet our qualifications and can fulfill anticipated openings.

We invite applicants with current industry knowledge and experience in the following areas to apply:

Painting

Drawing

Jewelry Making

Ikebana

Art History

Course Formats

Courses are offered in various formats, including in-person, remote (via Zoom), and online/asynchronous. Each course lasts 11 weeks, with a maximum enrollment of 20 students.

Instructor Responsibilities

Develop or update course syllabi to meet approval requirements, in consultation with the Program Director and Program Manager.

Use your expertise to impart knowledge and enhance the curriculum with additional resources, such as guest speakers.

Design interactive and engaging classroom activities to reinforce learning.

Regularly update materials and monitor course evaluations to make necessary improvements.

Respond to student inquiries and learning needs promptly.

Communicate effectively with the Program Director and staff.

Complete administrative tasks, including new hire paperwork, submitting syllabi, posting a bio and photo, accepting contracts, ordering textbooks, and addressing classroom needs.

Participate in required orientations and training programs.

Employ culturally competent teaching methods to serve both domestic and international students.

Stay current with developments in the field.

Address student inquiries about final grades and consult with the Program Director as needed.

Maintain a record of final grades for up to 13 months after the last class session.
