Pay Range: $15.95 – $20.31 and determined based on relevant
years of work experience.

Position Summary: Tutor for Animation Program students.
Position will be located on the main campus, up to 12 hours per
week.

Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma, plus completion of 1-year relevant
Animation collegiate coursework.
• Good communication skills, including listening with
understanding and patience.
• Ability to explain concepts, both orally and in written form in
a one-to-one or small group setting.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage appointments and record data using
appropriate software and processes.
• Ability to make learning interactive, with the focus of the
sessions determined by student questions and comments.
• Experience using Autodesk Maya and Adobe Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience training and/or teaching.
• Animation industry work experience – commercial and/or
independent.
• Experience using Toonboom.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited
to:
• Tutor students through drop-in, by-appointment, and/or
semester-long tutoring (online and/or in-person) in subjects,
skills, or content deemed appropriate by the relevant supervisor;
build rapport and supportive relationships with students.
• Refer students to appropriate resources within the relevant
resource center and larger Academic Resource Center.
• Refer students to appropriate resources outside the relevant
resource center/Academic Resource Center with
consultation/direction from the relevant supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to the Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and keeping appropriate
staff updated on student progress and problems.
• Assist in the daily activities of the center, cover the front
desk when needed, ensure students are checked in/out, and help
maintain a positive, clean, and organized center space.
• Assist students with computer systems/software and help
students troubleshoot computer problems as they impact tutoring
operations.
• Use the appropriate scheduling system to manage and maintain
tutoring schedules.
• Participate in mandatory center training and other campus-wide
training opportunities as appropriate.
• Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity,
may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of
management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at
any time, as required by business necessity.
