Role and Responsibilities
The Academic Enrichment Tutor will provide individual and group tutoring to students in the K-12th grade. Instruction is based on each student’s individual needs. The tutor must be a mentor as well as a professional, and be able to work well with both general and special education students. Notes must be taken at each session with the child to record progress. Academic… Enrichment Tutors are also responsible for being well prepared, excited to help their students and learn the specific academic programs used with each student. Must be able to work well with other tutors, staff, and communicate well with parents. Job Duties
• * Providing academic tutoring for K-12 students via research-based reading and mathematics programs
• Developing educational goals for students based upon assessment results and parent desires
• Consulting with parents about their concerns about their child’s academic progress
• Utilizing high-tech and low-tech educational resources to enhance reading and math concepts
• Keeping accurate data and observations from each session
• Writing monthly progress reports documenting student progress towards their goals
• Completing other administrative tasks on an as-needed basis
• Technical Competencies
• Proficient with Apple iOS and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook Education/Training Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in an Education-related field or at least 1 year of experience in tutoring K-12 students
• Strong Reading, Language Arts, and Mathematics Skills
