• Biology (Biology-Related courses)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan, organize and instruct undergraduate courses in accordance with approved course outlines
• Maintain a prominent level of competence and expertise in the teaching content area and ensure an effective learning experience.
• Utilize the university’s learning management systems, as necessary.
• Perform additional instructor responsibilities to include but not limited to communication with students, responding to e-mails in a timely manner, be available for virtual office hours and attend all classes as scheduled.
• Submit your course syllabus to the Department Chairperson prior to the start of the term
• Provide effective assessments and evaluation of student learning experiences.
• Keep students informed of their progress with timely feedback and posting of grades in the university’s learning management system
• Encourage and cultivate a positive and diverse learning environment for learning populations.
• Retain and submit documentation as requested to the Department Chairperson
Minimum requirements include a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.SALARY: To be determined per the university’s set guidelines for Adjunct Instructors
