Job Summary:
This adjunct faculty member teaches courses in the area of Criminal Justice within the College’s School of Justice Program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Provides classroom instruction
-Participates in curriculum development and revision
-Assess the curriculum against state and national standards
-Supervises field experiences and/or inernship
-Serves as a resource for faculty members and other program areas
-Serves on school, campus and College committees
-Recruits and advises Criminal Justice Students
-Participates in grant writing and acquisition of external funding for the School of Justice
-Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
-Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from a regionally accredited institution or a Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice or Public Safety
-All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
-Three (3) years experience in college or univeristy teaching preferred
-Must possess current knowledge of curriculum and methodology issues in Public Safety and Criminal Justice
-Qualified applicants must demonstrate positive human relationa and communications skills
-Must be willing to work on mutiple campuses/outreach locations
