**Overview:**
We are seeking an Adjunct Instructor, Biology to join our Education Division. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching biology courses in both face-to-face and hybrid formats. This is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA exempt position that reports to the Division Chair of Math & Sciences. **Responsibilities:**
• Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course… material in both face-to-face and hybrid formats
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior
• Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately
• Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
• Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area
• Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of the students
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior
• *Qualifications:**
• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Science or a related field OR a Master’s degree with at least 18 semester hours or 30 quarter hours in the discipline or related field
• Postsecondary teaching experience is preferred
