**Overview:** The Adult Basic Education (ABE) Blackboard In-Person/Virtual Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality educational instruction to adult learners in a variety of settings, including in-person and online. The successful candidate will design and deliver individualized plans of study, conduct assessments, and develop engaging instructional content using Blackboard Learn and… Ultra. **Responsibilities:**
• Identify student goals and design an appropriate program to address goals
• Conduct assessments in reading, mathematics, and language in accordance with the appropriate assessment systems in order to ascertain the academic strengths and weaknesses of participants
• Develop individualized plans of study for each participant in the program
• Plan and deliver effective and comprehensive instruction based on the appropriate curriculum guides and the needs of the participant in the program
• Plan, develop and implement lessons that require the usage of higher-order thinking skills by the population served
• Develop and deliver high-quality instructional content for adult education courses using Blackboard Learn
• Utilize Blackboard Ultra to create an engaging and interactive learning environment
• Facilitate online classes, including lectures, discussions, and group activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• *Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree
+ One (1) year of instructional experience
+ Understand adult education systems within the Technical College System of Georgia
