Job Summary
Faculty member will demonstrate excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate social work education. The role of Practicum & Internship Education Director requires vision, energy, and creativity for sustaining the program. A history of academic leadership and CSWE accreditation experience are preferred. The faculty member will teach hyflex courses in… Social Work, which may practicum seminar, internship, special topics, and other courses as needed. dependent on the areas of expertise of the faculty member and needs of the department. This full-time (IO-month) position requires teaching one to two courses each semester: managing curriculum. assessments, personnel (hiring, supervision. reviews), planning and budgeting, recruitment, and retention; engaging in scholarship; service to the department, college, university. profession, and community; and overall support of the BSW/online MSW program. The BSW program accreditation was reaffirmed by CSWE in 2018 with its next reaffirmation due in 2026. The online MSW program is in progress of accreditation by SACSCOC and CSWE candidacy for initial accreditation.
Essential Job Duties
• Experience teaching across the curriculum.
• Experience teaching in either a BSW or MSW program.
• Licensed Masters Social Worker or Independent Clinical Social Worker (or equivalent).
• Establish and maintain all requirements for accreditation established by CSWE in collaboration with other social work faculty.
• Contribute to curriculum development.
• Maintaining an active scholarship agenda, including pursuit of external funding and collaborative research that includes student participation.
• Facilitate course development and scheduling.
• Academic and professional advising.
Preferred Qualifications
• Earned MSW degree from a CSWE accredited MSW program, an earned doctorate in Social Work or related field, and five years or Required more of post’ MSW practice experience (direct or community practice)
