What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Teach 12 courses per academic year covering various topics in clinical mental health counseling
– Develop and update course materials while participating in assessments and curriculum development
– Provide ethical clinical supervision and mentorship to practicum and internship students
– Maintain accurate student records and conduct quarterly advising meetings
– Engage in university service through committee work and collaborations
What is Required (Qualifications):
– Doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution
– Current Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or equivalent licensure (3 years preferred)
– Minimum of two years of full-time equivalent teaching in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
– Experience as a CMHC clinical supervisor for counselors-in-training
– Intermediate-to-advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and learning management systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
– Graduate education in sport and performance psychology
– Experience with higher education accreditation standards and compliance analysis
– Prior experience teaching applied sport and performance psychology
– Experience mentoring individuals toward CMPC certification
