**Overview:**
The Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Social Work is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work to join our dynamic faculty team. The successful candidate will bring expertise in clinical mental health practice and administration, clinical supervision, and anti-oppressive/diversity-affirming social work practice to our Advanced Generalist MSW Program… and Center for Rural Behavioral Health Clinic. **Responsibilities:**
• Teach graduate courses in generalist and advanced generalist social work practice commensurate with expertise
• Supervise/advise graduate students
• Provide clinical and non-clinical licensing supervision to licensed clinical trainees within the scope of licensure
• Develop and deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction at the Mankato campus, online, and/or at the university’s additional locations, as assigned
• Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum design, instruction, and evaluation
• Conduct research productively and mentor students in research
• Develop and deliver innovative strategies for student recruitment, retention, and completion
• Develop external grant funding opportunities
• Engage in scholarly or creative activity or research, in continuing preparation and study, in contributing to student growth and development, and in providing service to the university and community
• *Qualifications:**
• Master of Social Work degree from an accredited social work program (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application)
• Licensed to practice social work in Minnesota or license eligible
• Minimum of three (3) years practicing as a licensed independent clinical social worker
• Minimum of one (1) year providing clinical supervision
• Minimum of one (1) year experience supervising students in field education at the graduate and/or undergraduate level
• Demonstrated teaching experience (includes professional development instruction and/or in-service training)
• Demonstrated ability to serve a diverse population and apply an equity lens to this position, including social justice and/or anti-racism
