The School of Education at Endicott College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Education (Special Education) to begin in July 1, 2025. The successful candidate should be able to teach some of the required special education courses in our curriculum as well as to develop special topics courses according to their area of expertise. They also advise students; participate in accreditation processes; engage in professional scholarship or development; assist in the development of research opportunities; and participate in school and college-wide service. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) of the Endicott community. This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College. ECFA is a faculty union organized under the NEA (National Educational Association) and provides structure and support for all full-time faculty at Endicott College. Responsibilities include: Teach 8 courses (24 credits) per calendar year. Advise up to 50 graduate students Attend department, school, and college meetings. Participate in accreditation processes. Engage in professional development, scholarship, research, and/or publishing. Assist in curriculum development. Participate in department, school, and college service. Maintain and post regular office hours. Perform other duties as required and as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College. This is a 12 month position. Requirements/Qualifications: Ed.D or Ph.D. in Education (ABDs will be considered if degree will be completed by effective date of appointment) College-level teaching experience Evidence of professional experience and/or ongoing scholarly activities (research, publications, presentations, etc.) that enhance teaching and deepen knowledge base in special education Desire to work in a student-centered, teaching oriented institution Endicott offers associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, plus graduate-level certificates.
