In this role, you will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to enhance their documentation practices, ensuring precise coding and submission of medical claims. Acting as a clinical liaison, you will utilize your extensive knowledge to assist providers in delivering exceptional care while pinpointing areas for process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities
• Utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, monitor, and evaluate healthcare services within a provider office environment.
• Engage in direct patient care and assessments, educating providers on accurate medical documentation, proper coding, and claims submission.
• Conduct thorough chart reviews to affirm accurate assignment of ICD-10 codes supported by clinical documentation.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to healthcare providers regarding appropriate documentation and coding practices.
• Perform audits of medical records to uncover opportunities for improvement and boost efficiency in risk adjustment and care delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the national team to relay barriers and propose strategies for enhancing healthcare outcomes and risk score accuracy.
• Lead workgroups that focus on developing learning strategies to bolster improved healthcare delivery.
• Identify and disseminate best practices in risk adjustment across various sites and regions to foster continuous quality enhancement.
• Manage multiple complex projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion aligned with organizational objectives.

Required Skills
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory guidelines and medical record documentation review.
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Athena, or Cerner.
• Exceptional communication and training skills.
• Ability to manage multiple intricate projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in risk adjustment within Medicare Advantage or commercial environments.
• At least 3 years of experience in educating providers concerning medical documentation and coding.
• Deep understanding of healthcare documentation practices and coding guidelines.

Compensation And Benefits

We provide a competitive salary, with a typical pay range of (54,095.60 to )116,760.80, contingent upon experience, education, and location. This role is eligible for performance-based bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentive programs.
