Job Description:
We are in search of amazing Special Education teachers to join our middle schools in the Enfield NH area. Our Special Education Teachers will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a middle school setting. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with… general education teachers, and utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote student success.
Responsibilities:
• Intensive Support: Provide individualized instruction focused on functional academics and life skills tailored to meet the unique needs of each student in the Multi-Needs program.
• Adaptive Learning: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the cognitive, physical, and adaptive needs of each student.
• Inclusive Environment: Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Collaboration: Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other support staff to deliver comprehensive support to students.
• Family Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and involving them in the educational process.
• Assessment and Adaptation: Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Certification: Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Endorsements: 6-8, Middle School
• Experience: Previous experience working with students is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong understanding of functional academics, life skills instruction, and adaptive learning strategies. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Compassion: A patient, compassionate approach to working with students with significant cognitive and physical challenges.
