**Overview:** The SUNY Syracuse EOC is seeking a Federal Work Study tutor to provide academic support to adult learners in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Math, and Science. As a tutor, you will make a meaningful difference in a student’s life by helping them achieve academic success. **Responsibilities:**
• Tutor adult learners in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL… Math, and Science in a supportive environment
• Employ various instructional strategies to address a student’s needs and build their confidence
• Help students gain a deeper understanding of course content, prepare for exams, or learn for self-improvement
• Utilize the EOC Virtual Tutoring Lab to provide online tutoring services
• *Qualifications:**
• Must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University and approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate
• Preferred qualifications: qualified and willing to tutor multiple subjects
• *Benefits:**
• $17/hour salary
• Federal Work Study position available to current Upstate Medical University students who have been approved for and accepted Federal Work Study through the Financial Aid Office
