Blazer Jobs is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom in Oakboro, NC. This full-time role will serve 12-15 high school students in an itinerant position, working across 2-4 schools. The teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support in a separate setting for students with adaptive curriculum needs.
Job Responsibilities…
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in a self-contained setting.
Deliver instruction to students with significant adaptive curriculum needs in multiple school settings.
Collaborate with staff, including other SPED teachers and support personnel, to ensure student progress.
Monitor and assess student growth, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
Qualifications:
Must hold active North Carolina licensure in Special Education: Adaptive Curriculum.
Previous experience with high school students in a separate setting is highly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
