Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our partner school districts in the Euclid, Ohio area. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students with special needs, supporting their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities…
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to support students’ learning and behavioral goals.
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the diverse learning styles of students.
• Conduct assessments to monitor students’ progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
• Provide direct instruction in a variety of educational settings, including inclusive classrooms and self-contained environments.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students’ progress and IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff.
Qualifications:
• Ohio Teaching License: Must possess a valid Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience: Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting is required.
• Knowledge of State Requirements: Familiarity with Ohio’s educational standards and requirements for special education.
• Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential.
