In this role, you will provide instruction, guidance, and mentorship to our students, fostering a culture of educational excellence and effective learning outcomes in science education.
Key… Responsibilities
Teaching and Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Anatomy and Physiology. Utilize course syllabi and educational resources to enhance student learning.
Student Engagement: Create a positive and interactive classroom environment that supports student success. Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and demonstrate a genuine passion for education.
Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student work promptly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, submit grades and reports on time, and enforce academic and attendance policies.
Shared Governance: Participate in programmatic governance and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Hold a graduate-level or terminal degree in a science discipline from an accredited institution.
Experience: Have at least 15 semester credit hours (or equivalent) in the subject area you teach and ideally, two years of experience teaching adult learners in higher education.
Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
Attributes: Demonstrate innovative thinking, flexibility, and a commitment to inclusivity and diversity in education.
Salary: $35-$50 per hour, depending on experience and education.
Work Environment And Conditions
Setting: Typically involves work in an office, classroom, lab, or clinical setting. Duties may require occasional skills lab or bedside environments.
Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, operate office equipment, lift objects weighing 10-25 pounds, and communicate effectively.
