About The Role…
As a Guitar Instructor, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to teach a diverse group of students via Zoom. You’ll be guiding 10 – 30 students through their guitar learning journey, from beginners to more advanced players. We’ll match you with students whose learning needs and schedules align with your expertise and availability. Your role will involve delivering personalized lessons, helping students achieve their goals, and fostering a fun and supportive learning environment.
Additionally, you might have the chance to teach group courses on various musical topics, such as songwriting or band play, enhancing students’ musical understanding and appreciation. These courses can be offered alongside individual lessons or as stand-alone classes.
Responsibilities
Conduct engaging online lessons for acoustic, electric, or bass guitar, customizing each session to meet students’ goals and musical interests.
Provide lesson summaries and ongoing support to help students progress between sessions.
Aim for high student retention by maintaining proactive communication with both students and our team.
Optional: Participate in training sessions on technology, studio management, and teaching techniques.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience teaching guitar across all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Proficiency in reading music and tablature.
Experience teaching guitar in a virtual setting.
Knowledge of various guitar styles, including rock, pop, jazz, folk, and country.
A deep understanding of the student journey and a passion for helping learners succeed.
Reliable high-speed internet and comfort with online teaching technology, including a webcam with at least 1080p resolution.
Preference for instructors who can commit to teaching 20+ hours per week, with availability during evenings and/or weekends.
Fluent in English and based in a North American time zone.
