We are seeking a passionate and experienced Language Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching comprehension and writing skills to students of various ages and proficiency levels. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and helping students develop their ability to read critically and express themselves clearly… through writing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruction: Teach reading comprehension and writing skills, focusing on reading critically, understanding text, and developing strong writing abilities.
• Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that are aligned with curriculum standards and tailored to meet the needs of individual students.
• Assessment: Evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
• Student Engagement: Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth in language skills.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience: Proven experience in teaching language arts, with a focus on comprehension and writing skills. Familiarity with standardized testing and curriculum standards is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong command of the English language, with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Ability to teach and assess various forms of writing, including essays, reports, and creative writing.
• Proficient in using technology and online platforms for teaching and student engagement.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
• Familiarity with educational software and online teaching tools.
• Experience in preparing students for standardized tests or college entrance exams.
