Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Special Education Teacher to provide remote instruction and support to K-12 students with diverse learning needs. This hourly, contracted position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to make a significant impact on students’ educational experiences from your own home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Deliver engaging and effective remote instruction tailored to each student’s unique requirements.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to students, families, and the school team.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student learning and development.
• Utilize a variety of online tools and resources to enhance the learning experience.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in special education (preferred).
• Strong understanding of various disabilities and learning challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and families.
• Proficiency with remote teaching technologies and online educational tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
