While the primary role involves in-person teaching, there may also be opportunities for remote instruction as they become available. What You’ll Be Doing
Collaborate to create and maintain an effective in-person class schedule for the academic year.
Be available for remote teaching of individuals or small groups if opportunities arise.
Utilize language-learning modules and enhance them with additional resources tailored to learners’ needs.
Document lessons, assignments, and track student progress.
Provide updates and progress reports to authorized staff.
Deliver exceptional learning experiences and outcomes.
Encourage and monitor student engagement and progress.
Communicate clearly and professionally.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Requirements
Ability to commit to a practical in-person schedule for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Expertise in French language instruction.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
Previous experience with online teaching.
Experience in developing or editing curriculum is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
Reliable computer, webcam, and high-speed internet connection.
Comfort with technology and eagerness to explore new tools.
Positive, open-minded attitude with strong leadership skills.
Efficient time management and critical-thinking abilities.
Must undergo a Criminal Background Screening.
Status: Independent Contractor
Location: Washington, DC, USA
Contract Rates: $45+ per session (based on teaching experience)
