Instructor/Tutor for multiple subjects and ages

We are hiring Independent Contractors (without a non-compete). You will be told the preferred location, days, and times as well as the hourly pay before you choose to work with an offered student.

Tutors must…
• be in-person in Chicago and/or surrounding suburbs
• have at least 1 year of teaching/tutoring experience
• have a college degree or be enrolled in college
• be able to tutor in more than one subject area (i.e. not just math or just English)

Subjects needed (in order of increased hourly pay):
• Elementary school: academics, enrichment, elementary standardized tests
• Middle school: academics, enrichment, high school entrance test prep (ISEE/HSPT/SEHS/STARR)
• High school: academics, enrichment, ACT/SAT test prep, college planning, college applications/essays
• College: academics, enrichment, career coaching

All sessions must include lessons in (free training will be offered):
• Executive Functions (time-management, entrepreneurial mindset, planning, prioritizing, organization, independence)
• Metacognition (self-assessment, self-monitoring, mindfulness, focus, reflection)
• Soft Skills (critical thinking, creative problem solving, inquiry, innovation, initiative, confidence, advocacy, collaboration, leadership)

Additional details:
• Pay: $25+/hr (Pay depends on grade level, location, and number of students; average is $40/hr)
• Hours: Tutor’s choice (most students want to meet evenings and/or weekends)
• Locations: In-person at students’ homes/schools in/near Chicago, DFW, Houston, or Austin.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 – $62.50 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week
