Blazer Jobs is partnering with a local school district in Louisville, Georgia, to find a dedicated and skilled Special Education Teacher for a full-time position. This role is ideal for an experienced professional eager to make a positive impact on students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized instructional plans for students with disabilities.
• Create and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Provide instruction in inclusive and resource settings, ensuring proper accommodations and modifications.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• State certification or licensure in Special Education.
• Licensed in all four grade areas: Math, Science, Reading, and Writing.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
