As a K-12 Tutor, you will be instrumental in providing academic support and guidance to students in various subjects. Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in subjects such as ELA, Math, Reading, or ACT prep.
– Assist students in grasping and mastering subject-specific concepts, ensuring a deep understanding.
– Offer constructive feedback to students and communicate progress effectively with parents.
– Utilize modern learning technology and tools to enhance teaching methods and improve student engagement.
– Develop and implement engaging, personalized lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and academic needs.
– Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to address learning gaps and ensure continued improvement.
– Encourage and foster a positive learning environment that motivates and supports students in their academic journey.
– Prepare students for standardized tests and assessments, providing guidance on test-taking strategies and skills.
– Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure alignment of tutoring methods with classroom instruction.
– Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and lesson plans.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree
– Possession of an IVP fingerprint card.
– Prior experience in K-12 education, childcare, preschool, or early childhood education is preferred.
– A background in classroom teaching or working with children is highly advantageous.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both students and parents.
– Familiarity with learning technology tools and their application in an educational setting.
– Knowledge of special education practices and the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs is a plus.
– Ability to plan, execute, and assess effective lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
