Job Description:
As a Work-from-Home K-8 Special Education Teacher, you will create and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to ensure that each student’s unique needs are met. This role requires a strong commitment to student success, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide direct instruction and support in a virtual classroom setting.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and preferences.
Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educators to support student progress.
Monitor and track student performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay updated on best practices and educational technologies.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid Kentucky teaching certification in Special Education (K-8).
Proven experience teaching students with special needs, preferably in a virtual setting.
Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms and educational technologies.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
