Position Highlights:
• Location: Fully Remote
• Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
• Contract Type: 1099
• Focus: Supporting students with diverse disabilities
• Caseload Details: Provided during the interview process
Key Duties:
• IEP Creation: Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, collaborating with parents, school staff, and other professionals.
• Assessment and Adaptation: Utilize assessment tools to track student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
• Engaging Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive virtual classroom that fosters student engagement.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with general education teachers and specialists to ensure effective integration and accommodations in mainstream settings.
• Instructional Techniques: Use various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and needs.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough records of student progress, behavior, and achievements.
• Parental Involvement: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to involve them in their child’s education.
• Professional Growth: Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Teaching or Special Education
• Certification: Valid Special Education Teaching License in Minnesota
• Experience: Previous experience with special needs students is preferred
• Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing learning and staying updated with the latest special education practices
• Virtual Experience: Previous experience in a virtual teaching environment is a plus
