Music Adjunct Faculty – Remote | WFH

As an Adjunct Music Instructor, you will:

Responsibilities

Teach a variety of instruments, including violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba.

Conduct lessons for students of different skill levels, including online formats if necessary.

Plan lesson activities, demonstrate techniques, and assess student performance.

Prepare students for final jury examinations and serve on jury panels.

Develop and implement clear course syllabi and objectives.

Integrate learning outcomes into your teaching and provide timely feedback.

Order books and materials as needed and submit required documents on time.

Create engaging and integrated learning experiences linked to career pathways.

Use diverse teaching strategies to support different learning styles and needs.

Support students by directing them to campus resources and services.

Be available to teach at various times and days.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Music or equivalent professional experience.

Knowledge of teaching music at the post-secondary level.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of students and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Music from an accredited institution.

Two to three years of documented experience teaching music at the collegiate level.

Demonstrated teaching excellence in a collegiate setting.
