We are looking for a Chinese educator with an interest in using a non-standard teaching methodology to help teach Mandarin to adults ranging from age 15 to 70.
Our classes are small-group classes and the workload of teaching is shared between several teachers in a very-collaborative and supportive structure. Our teachers should be available to teach between 6pm-9pm Pacific time. Ideally, your… locations could be in Asia, North America,etc.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Facilitating a group of 4 students in a larger 16 student cohort
2. Communicating with students before and after classes
3. Leaving feedback on student homework submissions
4. Tracking student progress using our tracking system
5. Assisting with various aspects of student administration
6. Assisting with basic review and editing of curriculum
Qualified candidates answer yes to at least TWO of the following:
1. I have 2-5 years of adult teaching experience
2. I have, or am working on, a masters in teaching (esp. teaching Mandarin)
3. I have a B2 or higher level of English fluency
Bonus points for answering yes to any of the following:
1. I have worked on a project building new curriculum.
2. I have experience training/leading members of a team
3. I have experience with design and illustration
4. I have experience writing content in English (think blogs, journals, etc)
5. I have experience designing class content on Google Slides or Powerpoint
