Online Community Manager
The Art of Education University (AOEU) is looking for an Online Community Manager to communicate, engage, and build meaningful relationships with our followers and customers via our social media and community platform channels. The Online Community Manager will work with various teams to maintain and support the needs of AOEU’s vibrant art teacher community to enhance… customer experience, engagement, retention, and brand recognition. The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for creating community and meaningful experience in the field of art education.
POSITION DETAILS
Structured as a remote full-time salaried position. This position will report to the Director of Community Engagement.
We have been a 100% remote company since the beginning! This position is eligible to remote work from the following locations: USA.

The Details
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Engage with and Moderate Online Communities
Actively recruit, retain, and motivate community members to engage in community interactions, such as participating in discussions, sharing user-generated content, and providing product feedback
Develop and release curated and custom content and engagement initiatives for AOEU’s online communities
Welcome, assist, and encourage new subscribers and community members
Moderate online communities and social platforms, providing a high level of customer service
Research, recommend, and implement community management best practices
Serve as a public face of the company in online communities and on social media
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
Work with various teams to support business goals through community endeavors
Collaborate with AOEU’s Media Content Manager to develop and release curated and custom community content
Monitor KPIs and optimize community content to reach company objectives
Prepare reports with qualitative and quantitative data, insights, and analytics to communicate trends and the value of community and social audiences to stakeholders
Contribute to Community Events
Develop content and strategy for online and in-person community events
Host online and in-person community events
Assist with administrative tasks for online and in-person community events
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to foster engagement and build relationships with online community members
Understands best practices and content strategy across a variety of community-based platforms and stays up-to-date with updates and trends
Is well-connected with a breadth and depth of educators, artists, and professionals in related fields
Able to recognize art teachers’ changing needs and create content aligned with those needs
Able to write engaging, exciting content to engage with online community members
Able to stay organized with a high level of attention to detail
Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of art education or related field
Experience moderating online communities or working in customer service
Experience creating content for online communities and/or social media
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education, Marketing, Communications, or related fields a plus (but not required)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time. The Art of Education University is an online university therefore 95-98% of one’s time will be on or using technology.
Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

COMPENSATION
Compensation is commensurate with experience and market. We encourage you to discuss your compensation requirements early in the process.
The Process
For most roles, the process is as follows:
Step 1: ~30 minute phone interview with hiring manager
Step 2: Round 2 packet & Interview
Given that AOEU is 100% remote, this step is intended to see how you might work through some of the daily tasks, responsibilities, and challenges that could arise in this role. You will be given a prompt and be asked to complete an assignment which will then be used to guide a ~1 hour follow-up Zoom interview with 1-2 stakeholders. The intention is for you to get a sense of the role and give us an opportunity to see your skills in action. Your answers will not be used for any other purposes beyond evaluating your candidacy.
Step 3: Follow-up interview
For certain managerial or high-collaboration roles, you may be asked to participate in an additional Zoom interview.
