We are seeking a highly motivated professional who can combine their passion for education and content creation skills in this hybrid position. This position is initially responsible for development, customization and maintenance of implementing content on our different platforms. Within approximately 45 to 60 from date of hire, this position will perform virtual and/or on-site general education consultant responsibilities. The role with covert to a per diem rate is $600.00 per day when on-site consulting services are performed within the metropolitan area.
The General Educational Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality in-person professional development, coaching and support to teachers and school leaders. Our Educational Consultants are instrumental in creating meaningful relationships to ultimately help students reach their full potential. This position is best suited for professionals who want to stay connected to the education field while maintaining a high impact to students and personal achievement. Mileage and toll fees are reimbursed.

Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with schools to build teacher and administrative capacity through evidence based coaching, curriculum, and professional development
Develop positive working relationships with a diverse group of teachers and administrators through large group sessions as well as individualized side-by-side support
Evaluate data and conduct in-class visits to assess and communicate professional learning plans that strengthen academic performance, school culture and climate
Support schools in strengthening pedagogy and implementing instructional planning to ensure effective teaching in classrooms
Lead schools in reviewing, developing, organizing and implementing rigorous standards-aligned curriculum
Basic Requirements:
8 years working in K-12 schools
Strong working knowledge of State Standards
High level of competence in facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability using Google Classroom, Zoom, and other education-related technology tools
Personal technology equipment (laptop computer, mobile device, and working camera) to be used during on-site workshop facilitation at client locations
Reliable, high-speed internet to participate in ongoing professional growth
Local candidates within Upper Marlboro, MD to Washington DC area
Willingness to travel across metropolitan area with your own reliable transportation
Current teaching and/or administration certification copies
Successfully pass pre-employment background check
Ability to lift 5 to 10 pounds
Preferred Requirements:
Masters Degree
Minimum 3 years experience in any of the following roles: Mentor, Supervisor or Coach
Virtual Teaching and Learning experience
Professional Development experience (design, implementation, facilitation and leading)
