The Part-Time Lab Instructor assists students in improving their skills in Writing, Reading, Math, etc. at the Learning Support Center.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provides lab orientation at the beginning of each term
• Assists students with software programs
• Develops lab instructional materials
• Provides lab instruction through tutorials, workshops, lectures, and demonstrations to students
• Monitors students progress
• Supports the Lab Manager/Coordinator with the delivery of instructional objectives
• Monitors academic progress, maintains students’ records and attendance rosters
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, English related field and one (1) year teaching experience
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• An aptitude for teaching and interest in working with students
• Knowledge of computer applications and educational technologies for academic support
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
