# Part-Time Teaching Opportunities in Nursing Education

Our institution is seeking candidates for part-time teaching positions at various academic ranks, including Assistant Instructor, Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. We aim to enhance the health of individuals and communities through exceptional educational programs designed to prepare the next generation of nurse leaders in practice, research, and education. These roles are expected to occur during the academic year or for one-semester, on a fixed-term basis.
## Responsibilities
The primary focus of these positions is clinical teaching in diverse healthcare environments, where you will provide educational oversight to nursing students. Collaboration with faculty members, administrators, agency staff, and students is integral to the role. Teaching assignments will be located in East Lansing and various mid- and south Michigan areas.
## Qualifications
• **Required Degrees**:
• Doctorate in Nursing or a related field for the ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
• Master’s degree in Nursing for the rank of Instructor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing for the rank of Assistant Instructor.
• **Minimum Requirements**:
• Unrestricted RN license without probationary status (or eligibility).
• Knowledge of contemporary clinical standards of patient care pertinent to your practice specialty.
• A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience, along with comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the specialty area.
• **Desired Qualifications**:
• Experience in teaching at the baccalaureate level or higher is preferred.
