Position Overview
• Spark Education Group has multiple vacancies for Part-Time online remote teachers in the US teaching department, teaching students in Singapore.
• Teachers are responsible for providing highly engaging and fun online learning experience for small-groups (4-6) of students.
• It is mandatory that candidates have experience teaching Mathematics and possess a strong passion for self-improvement through regular review and feedback.
• Teachers must also have the the ability to communicate confidently with parents in areas that their child may need improvement.
• Teachers must work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
• Teachers will work for 4 hours each shift they are assigned to work within the Singapore time zone (GMT+8) from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Please see the time requirements converted to US timezones below:
-5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. EST
-4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. CST
-3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. MST
-2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. PST
(Please note that these times will adjust at the begining or end of Daylight’s Savings Time)
Skills and Educational Requirements
• A Bachelors Degree in Education or STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering, Mathematics) related field.
• At least 1 year teaching or tutoring groups of students
• Must have a passion for teaching and working with students ages 5-12.
Technical Requirements
• CPU score of at least 7300 or above
• Internet with a minimum speed of 50 Mb/s
