We’ve built our reputation by finding tutors who are distinctly passionate about education and who simply love teaching. City Smarts tutors come from many different backgrounds and each bring their own point of view to the learning process.
At the moment we are particularly looking for tutors who are available for at-home lessons in Brooklyn and/or Manhattan. Many of our tutors build a hybrid schedule with some remote-tutoring days and some in-person days.
We’re looking for versatile tutors who can teach 2 or more of the following tests and subjects:
– SAT (full test)
– ACT (full test)
– ISEE / SSAT (full test)
– High School Math through Calculus
– Chemistry & Physics
– Executive Functioning
– IB Maths
Why Tutor With Us?
We pay $60-65 per hour for remote tutoring and $75-$80 per hour for in-person tutoring.
We tend to work with wonderful, education focused families who prioritize tutoring. As a result, our tutors can focus on what they do best, without having to worry about behavioral issues or other distractions.
We do not have a non-compete clause, so our instructors are free to work for multiple firms.
We work with our tutors to build schedules that meet their preferences (eg. Brooklyn or Manhattan, weeknights or weekends) and support them throughout the duration of their assignment.
If you’re only available on certain day(s), this is perfectly fine. Many of our best tutors are simply looking for a few hours of high-paying weekly work to supplement their education/career/pursuits, so whether you’re interested in just working with a few students or tutoring every day of the week, we’d love to hear from you.
