Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable tutors to join Scholars Tutoring Academy around Glendale, Burbank, La Crescenta, North Hollywood, and Pasadena. As a tutor, you will work with students one-on-one or in small groups to provide customized instruction and support. You will have the flexibility to conduct sessions either in-person at students’ homes or remotely via online… platforms. All you have to do is let us know what academic levels and subjects you are comfortable teaching, and we will pair you with students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personalized tutoring sessions to K-12 and college students in various subjects, including Armenian & English Reading, Writing, and Speaking; K-12 Mathematics (Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Algebra 1 & 2, and more); Science & Social Sciences; and General Homework Help.
• Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to develop tailored learning plans.
• Use engaging teaching methods to enhance understanding and retention of material.
• Assist students with homework, test preparation, and overall academic improvement.
• Track and report students’ progress to parents and the academy.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of subject matter(s) you wish to tutor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
• Must pass a background check.
