Remote Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Colorado School Hiring

Are you a passionate and experienced teacher who is committed to supporting the education and development of students with visual impairments? Our Colorado school is seeking a Remote Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our dedicated team.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual disabilities, helping them reach their… full academic and personal potential. Your duties will include:
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to address the unique learning needs of each student
• Utilizing assistive technologies, Braille, and other specialized tools and techniques to deliver effective instruction
• Collaborating with parents, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to student support
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation to track student progress
• Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in teaching students with visual impairments

To be successful in this position, you must possess a valid teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education – Visual Impairment. Additionally, you should have:
• A bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
• Extensive experience teaching students with visual disabilities, preferably in a remote or distance learning setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• A passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special needs
