K-12th Grade students
Job Details:
Design and implement tailored instructional plans and materials for students with visual impairments.
Provide direct teaching and support to visually impaired students, both individually and in small groups.
Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods to address their evolving needs.
Work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Recommend and incorporate assistive technologies and adaptive strategies to enhance learning..
Requirements:
Masters level degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students
MUST possess a valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification or licensure in Georgia.
Prior experience working with visually impaired students.
Braille: letters, symbols and numbers
Skilled in specialized instructional strategies and assistive technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, families, and school staff.
Strong capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
