Dates: September 2024- May 2025 School Year
Caseload Information:
• Full Time and Part Time
• K-12th Grade students

Job Details:
• Design and implement tailored instructional plans and materials for students with visual impairments.
• Provide direct teaching and support to visually impaired students, both individually and in small groups.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods to address their evolving needs.
• Work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Recommend and incorporate assistive technologies and adaptive strategies to enhance learning..

Requirements:
• Masters level degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students
• MUST possess a valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification or licensure in Georgia.
• Prior experience working with visually impaired students.
• Braille: letters, symbols and numbers
• Skilled in specialized instructional strategies and assistive technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, families, and school staff.
• Strong capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
