Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based contract position in Saginaw, Michigan. Key Responsibilities:
As a Special Education Teacher, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique needs.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure students receive the appropriate support.
• Conducting assessments and using data to monitor student progress, adjusting instructional plans as needed.
• Managing classroom behavior to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Providing instruction in various subjects and life skills to students with disabilities.
• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians to support students’ educational goals and development.
• Staying compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations for special education.
• Participating in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Active Michigan teaching certification in Special Education.
• Knowledge of IEP processes, behavior management techniques, and instructional strategies for students with diverse needs.
• Prior experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
• Must meet all state and local requirements for special education positions.
