We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our remote teaching team as a Middle School Math Teacher. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering a strong foundation in mathematics for our students, while creating a supportive and engaging virtual learning environment.
Key Responsibilities…
Develop and Deliver Engaging Lessons: Craft and implement math lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and are tailored to meet the diverse needs of middle school students. Your lessons will inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a welcoming and inclusive virtual classroom where every student feels valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
Utilize Innovative Teaching Strategies: Employ a variety of instructional strategies and digital resources to captivate students’ interest, encourage critical thinking, and make learning math fun and interactive.
Monitor and Support Student Progress: Conduct both formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress, offering timely and constructive feedback to students and their families.
Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with fellow educators, including special education teachers and support staff, to address the unique needs of students with diverse learning abilities.
Engage with Parents and Guardians: Maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, share successes, and address any concerns or challenges.
Professional Development: Stay current with the latest educational best practices and remote teaching strategies by participating in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Math-related field (a Master’s degree is a plus).
A valid teaching certification/license in Illinois.
Prior Experience Teaching Middle School Students Is Preferred.
A strong understanding of middle school math curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Proficiency with virtual teaching tools and technology.
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
