Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure students’ academic and social success.
• Adapt and modify curriculum to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
Qualifications:
• Certification: Must hold a valid South Carolina teaching certificate in Special Education.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with IEP development, behavior management strategies, and adaptive technologies.
• Compliance: Must meet all state and district requirements, including background checks and ongoing professional development.
