I run an online academy based in Oman that helps people improve their English speaking skills, and we use AI to enhance the learning experience. Currently, we host two group calls per week where our members practice speaking on various topics, but we are planning to increase the number of calls to four per week. We’re looking for additional tutors to join these sessions.
During the calls, our coaches break the members into Zoom breakout rooms based on their English proficiency levels (A1, A2) (B1, B2). This allows for more focused practice and ensures that each participant is comfortable with the discussion. We also send the call topics a day in advance so that members can prepare.
We are currently seeking two native English tutors, one from the UK and one from the USA, to join our team. Each tutor will be responsible for conducting one call per week, totaling 4 hours of work per month.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct one 1-hour speaking practice session per week.
• Engage and motivate members, making the sessions exciting and productive.
• Break members into breakout rooms based on their levels, facilitating focused discussions.
• Provide general feedback in the WhatsApp group chat after each session.
Requirements:
• Native English speaker from the UK or USA.
• Creative and enthusiastic about helping others improve their speaking skills.
• Experience with online teaching or coaching is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (no need to understand Arabic).
Additional Information:
• You will be provided with guidance and support from our team to help you understand the process.
• The main language of the academy is Arabic, but all communication for this role will be in English.
