Position Details
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM
Location: On-site; not a remote position
Setting: Year-round school

Key Responsibilities
Staff Management:
Lead professional development and delegate tasks to Lead Techs and Behavior Technicians.
Collaborate with the BCBA on student objectives and documentation.
Student Support
Identify and address individual student needs.
Create and maintain a supportive learning environment.
Prepare lessons, develop IEP documentation, and assess student performance.
Ensure accommodations and provide physical management when necessary.
Facility And Communication
Keep parents updated on student progress.
Research and assist with curriculum development.
Participate in facility maintenance and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
Required:
Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
Washington teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including lifting, running, and managing physical restraint if necessary.
Preferred
Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis or further education in Special Education.
Background in working with children with moderate to severe disabilities or challenging behaviors.
Experience in teaching functional communication skills, including the use of AAC devices.
Physical Requirements
Ability to maintain various postures for extended periods and respond quickly to active and aggressive behavior.
Capable of performing physical tasks such as running, lifting, and physical management of students.
Additional Requirements
Criminal background clearance.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Comfortable with various equipment and environmental conditions.
