Position Details
Average Caseload: 5 – 10 students
Student Age: Pre-K – 1st Grade
Para Support: Yes
Dates: August 23, 2024 – June 13, 2025
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred)
Maryland State Certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain certification
Experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with school teams and families
Responsibilities
Provide virtual instruction and support tailored to each student’s individual needs and IEP goals
Conduct virtual assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring
Work closely with school staff, parents, and caregivers to promote student success and well-being
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided
Requirements
Must provide your own liability and general insurance
Comfortable working as an independent contractor
Access to a home computer with high-speed internet and proficiency in virtual teaching platforms
Successfully pass a basic tech screening
