About The Role…

As a Substitute Teacher, you will step into a dynamic classroom setting where you’ll bring creativity and engagement to each day. You’ll help children meet milestones, support their learning, and foster a safe, caring environment. You’ll work with our established curriculum, but there may be times when you’ll need to adapt and improvise based on the needs of the children. Regular communication with children, parents, and staff is key to ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver creative and engaging activities based on our curriculum and standards.

Support children in meeting developmental milestones and completing observations.

Assist with schoolwork or remote learning as needed.

Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children and families.

Actively supervise activities and communicate regularly with children, parents, and staff.

Adapt to different classrooms and schedules as needed.

Scheduling Details

Substitute teachers are typically scheduled to cover specific shifts or classrooms. Schedules are usually provided in advance, but flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be asked to cover for a call-off. While you are not required to accept last-minute shifts, more availability may lead to more hours. We understand the importance of work-life balance, and our scheduling reflects that.

Qualifications (Preferred But Not Required)

Experience working with children in any setting (e.g., teaching, coaching, mentoring).

Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare.

Familiarity with curriculum and lesson planning.

Strong communication skills, especially with parents and guardians.

Experience with positive discipline and managing flexible schedules.

Skills (Preferred But Not Required)

Understanding of child development and early learning standards.

Strong customer service orientation.

Basic computer skills.

Effective time management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Clean background check.

CPR/First Aid certification (to be completed within 90 days of hire).
