About The Role…
As a Teacher/Floater, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering creative and engaging activities based on our curriculum standards. You’ll help children reach important milestones, complete observations, and assist with schoolwork or remote learning. Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children and their families is a key part of this role.
You will actively supervise activities, communicate regularly with children, parents, and fellow staff members to meet the needs of all children in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging activities according to our curriculum.
Support children in meeting developmental milestones and assist with observations.
Help with schoolwork and remote learning as needed.
Maintain a safe, caring environment for children and families.
Supervise activities and interact positively with children.
Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Summer Position Details
During the summer, you may be assigned to different classrooms as needed. You will follow lesson plans created by other teachers but may need to adapt based on daily needs. Regular scheduling is typically provided, and you will cover a variety of areas.
Qualifications
Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
A background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus.
Ability to work with a flexible schedule.
Skills in child development, early learning standards, and positive discipline are advantageous.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required; CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Clean background check.
CPR/First Aid certification (must be completed within 90 days of hiring).
