We are partnering with a school in the Warrenville, Illinois area to find a Paraprofessional (PARA) or Teacher Assistant (TA) for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for a kind and compassionate candidate wanting to work with students of varying levels to join our Special Education team!
Position Details…
• August 2024 – May 2025
• Full time: 35 hours per week
• Caseload details will be provided during the interview process
• Pay Range: $15 – $25 per hour, depending on previous experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs, including those with disabilities, learning differences, or English language learners.
• Reinforce learning concepts and help students with assignments and projects.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior reinforcement strategies.
• Support students during transitions between activities and locations within the school.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure the academic and social-emotional needs of students are met.
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Follow school policies and procedures regarding student confidentiality, safety, and discipline.
• Participate in training and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications:
• Must have an active PEL & Paraprofessional License
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must pass a Background Check
• Must be comfortable working with Special Education students
