Teacher – Remote | WFH

Overview

As an Infant and Toddler Teacher, you will promote and advance the social, emotional, physical, linguistic, and cognitive development and learning of young children. You will provide a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting in both the classroom and outdoor play areas. Your role includes developing individual goals for children, conducting ongoing assessments of their… progress, and facilitating their transition into an educational setting. Additionally, you will encourage parent engagement in the development and growth of their child and complete a professional development plan that may include university credentials.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct education to one cohort of youth.

Maintain sensitivity to the cultural backgrounds of each child.

Focus educational interventions based on initial assessments conducted when each child enters the program.

Attend and monitor educational field trips.

Participate in required staff meetings and training sessions.

Occasionally travel with unaccompanied minors (14 years and under) to locations within the United States, as requested.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience And Requirements

BA/BS Degree in Child Development with a focus on Infant and Toddler Development.

Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience as an infant/toddler teacher or caregiver.

Basic computer skills.

State Teacher Certification.

Valid Driver’s License, personal vehicle, and liability insurance required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Early Childhood Education models and standards.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Certificate.

Master’s degree in Education.

Working Conditions

Ability to see at normal distance, hear normal conversations and sounds, and use hands and fingers to complete required forms.

Capability to lift infants and toddlers weighing up to 40 pounds, 20 pounds overhead, and 40 pounds from waist to shoulder; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required, and you must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds horizontally.

Ability to sit on the floor, bend at the waist, kneel, and/or stoop 75% of the time.

Salary

$25.70 hourly
