PhillipsKidsTutoring, LLC provides in-home and virtual academic assistance to students in grades pre-K through college. We pride ourselves on the relationships we develop with the many student-families we assist with meeting academic goals.
We are currently hiring experienced educators to join our team of professional Tutors. Our Tutors provide students with the academic support they need to… succeed. We are looking for educators who are organized, patient, and passionate about helping students reach their fullest academic potential.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
Able to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week, with more hours if desired
Consistent and reliable
Recent or Current tutoring/teaching experience with grades K-12
Passion for teaching
Clear communication skills (oral and written)
Must have reliable transportation
Ability to accept feedback gracefully and a willingness to embrace lifelong learning
Willingness to commit for at least a semester
Professional and respectful of confidentiality on behalf of all members of our community
Basic knowledge of technology
Must be available for Tutor Staff Meetings/Trainings, one Saturday a month
Must be able to pass a background check
CPR-First Aid Training a plus!
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Educator
3 years plus classroom/tutoring experience
Master’s degree
Responsibilities:
Prepare lesson plans and materials for tutoring sessions, based on each student’s individual academic needs
Provide one-on-one instruction to students, utilizing various learning styles
Assess student progress
Provide feedback to students and parents
Maintain records of student progress
Maintain records of attendance
Candidate must:
Provide a cover letter, resume, and three references to apply
Upon hire:
Produce any certifications and diplomas for highest level of education
